Featuring a significantly setback eye position and a short shank, the “Head Lock Jig” is a football jig that attracts slow bass with its unique standing action and low-trajectory bottom bumping.
The wide design prevents it from tipping over, and the line eye set up at the rear of the football head creates a standing action that rises up using the tip of the head as a fulcrum, moving the trailer endlessly, continuously luring pin spots with a short travel distance, while its low-trajectory bottom bumping like it’s crawling along the ground brings about reaction bites.
What’s more, this jig boasts excellent obstacle avoidance performance, clearing the snags that often occur when the head gets stuck on riprap or fish reefs by pulling upwards rather than forwards.
The short-shank hook pierces sharply and is difficult to unhook, making it highly effective for short bites.
