Product Details The Avet MXJ MC Raptor Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives anglers compact, high-drag cranking power and added casting control for live bait fishing, trolling, jigging, casting plugs, and bottom fishing for tuna, mahi, striped bass, grouper, snapper, salmon, lake trout, and other hard-pulling fish. Available in right- or left-hand retrieve, this two-speed conventional reel pairs precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel components, precision-machined stainless steel gears, and an anodized finish for corrosion resistance in saltwater and big-water environments. The re-designed true one-piece frame improves strength-to-weight performance, while Avets patented dual carbon fiber drag system and reliable Avedrag dry carbon fiber drags deliver smooth stopping power and wear resistance under heavy pressure. A powerful lever drag system with adjustable strike pre-set, ratcheting glide plate, and strike stop button gives anglers controlled drag changes during the fight. Magic Cast uses an adjustable magnetic anti-backlash cast control system based on Lenz Law to help prevent line overrun and birds nests while casting live bait rigs, irons, and plugs. The patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse system uses more engagement teeth to reduce handle back-play, while the re-designed loud alarm clicker, offset machined handle arm, large soft-touch handle knob, and 9 shielded stainless steel ball bearings support smooth, steady control when fish dig deep.
