Product Details The Blue Wing Olive Dry Fly – 2 Pack gives trout anglers a proven match for one of the first and most important spring dry fly opportunities on the water. This pattern imitates Baetis mayflies, also known as Blue Winged Olives, BWOs, and Little Iron Blue Quills, with the slim gray, brown, and olive body tones and blue wings that brown trout, rainbow trout, brook trout, and other trout key on during recurring hatches from early spring into fall. Fish it during mid-afternoon or the warmest part of the day, especially in cool, dreary weather after water temperatures climb into the 40-degree range, and let it drift long because naturals often sit on the surface before taking flight. Tied on Daiichi dry fly hooks with a down eye, standard wire, and round bend, this classic dry fly belongs in any trout box for matching early-season Baetis activity and staying ready for the smaller sizes that become more important as the season progresses. Available in sizes 14, 16, 18, and 20, with 2 flies per pack. Matches Baetis mayflies, also known as BWO and Little Iron Blue Quill Effective for brown trout, rainbow trout, brook trout, and other trout species Best fished on long, natural drifts during mid-afternoon hatches in cool spring and fall conditions Tied on Daiichi dry fly hooks and available in sizes 14, 16, 18, and 20 Quantity per pack: 2 Prop 65 Warning FishUSA Customer Reviews Be the first to write a review Write a Review
