Dennys Midge Pupa is a midge pupa pattern designed for surface feeding trout. The pupa stage differentiates from the larva by a wing case and its location in the emerging film just below the surface. When trout are showing on the surface, this pattern imitates the emergers that trigger strikes.

Use short pulls and long pauses between pulls. Wing case presence distinguishes the pupae pattern from the larva. Targets the emerging stage, staying in the surface film just below the surface. Imitates feeding midges when trout key on surface emergers. Designed for a disciplined presentation: short pulls with long pauses between pulls. Simple, effective pattern for precise surface trout fishing during midge emergences.
