Power-Pac 7AH Power SupplyThe 12V DC power supply features built-in backup batteries, which are charged during normal operation and then continue to power radios and critical navigation equipment when AC power is lost. The Power-Pac is ideal for commercial vessels, work boats, and yachts. The Power-Pacs highly regulated, low-rising 10-amp output powers radios and other sensitive communications equipment without causing RF or audio interference. At the same time, it floats and charges one or two (depending on the model) built-in 7-amp/hour backup batteries. These are kept at peak charge during the normal functioning of the unit when AC is being supplied. In the event of a loss of AC power, the internal batteries automatically take over to power communication equipment, providing a true uninterruptible DC source.Features:Highly regulated, low ripple, noise-free 12-volt outputBuilt-in, on-line stand-by battery provides immediate backup power in case of AC power lossInternal mounting space and terminals for conversion of the 7 A/H model into the 14 A/H modelOutput Normal indicator L.E.D.Back-up power only warning lightAudible and visual low battery (10.7 VDC) voltage indicatorsLow battery warning buzzer mute switchAutomatic low battery (10.3 VDC) voltage disconnectLow voltage disconnect override buttonOver-voltage protectionCurrent limit protectionInput/output fusedSeparate output terminals are provided for charging external batteries115/230 50-60 Hz input, selected by a slide switch on the rear panelSpecifications:Battery Capacity: 7 amp/hour Case Size (H x W x D): 5.3 x 9.0 x 10.5 inches (13.3 x 22.9 x 26.7 centimeters) Weight: 18 lbs. Power-Pac 14 A/H can provide the same service for up to 6 hours. Provision is made for expanding backup power up to twelve hours (in this example, longer under lesser loads) with the installation of additional externally wired batteries (total 28 amps/hours max.). Batteries are automatically recharged when the AC is restored. The operator is kept informed of all important functions, such as AC input, DC output, and battery status, with front panel indicator lights and a low battery warning buzzer.Protection:AC Input fuseInternal and external Battery fusesOver VoltageCurrent LimitAutomatic Thermal ShutdownLow Battery DisconnectMechanical Details:Vinyl Laminated aluminum case6 standard AC power cordAc input selector switchBattery Details:Sealed Lead Acid, Deep-cycle.Certified by DOT and IATA for shipment by AirWeight per 7 AH Battery; 6 lbs.Size (inch): 6 x 3.75 x 2.5Options:Form C AC Failure Contacts (Contact factory for details)Extra batteries, sold separately 7 A/H increments; each Power Pac will accommodate 28 A/H max.
