Product Details Owner Stinger Siwash Hooks utilize a dual-tempering process which provides maximum hook strength while allowing for an open-eye design. These hooks make it easy for anglers to change out trebles on trolling lures, plus they are a terrific replacement hook for striped bass plugs, heavy-metal spoons, and jigs. Super Needle Points and a black chrome finish rounds out the features of this popular hook among anglers. There must be some reason for this as Owner certainly does its research. They look a bit odd attached to my salmon spoons – I would prefer ones with a shank length about three quarters of what is on these. These are definitely for spoons, some plugs e.g., wiggle warts, j plugs and flatfish, being used to target large salmonids. For treble hook replacement for most lures I go with inline single replacement hooks which are wide round gap short shank hooks, wish these were more widely available.
