Westin Tommy the Trout 25cm Firetiger Trout high visibility slow sinking lure

The Westin Tommy the Trout 25cm Firetiger Trout is a slow sinking trolling lure designed to deliver maximum visibility when fishing stained or wind-affected Irish waters.

This lure combines hyper realistic body shape with a high-contrast Firetiger finish, solving the challenge of attracting attention when visibility is reduced. The internal release plug disengages on the strike, increasing hook-up efficiency.

When trolled at speeds from 1.2 knots upwards, Tommy the Trout produces a steady S-curve swimming action with a rolling flash that remains effective across a wide range of conditions. Its 34.5m running depth suits open water trolling perfectly.

Key Features

Hyper realistic trout body with Firetiger visibility
Slow sinking for consistent trolling depth
Hidden stinger chain for clean presentation
Internal release plug for improved hook-ups
Jointed Stinger HD with carbon steel hooks
Runs at 34.5m depth

Why It Works for Irish Anglers

Firetiger excels in Irish lakes affected by peat stain, algae, or poor light. The strong colour contrast helps pike locate the lure quickly in challenging conditions.

Perfect For

Pike trolling in stained Irish waters
Windy and overcast conditions
Covering large areas of open water
