The Yuki Saikou Shock Leader is a clear nylon tapered line for tying leaders, built to solve the classic surfcasting headache: taking the snap of a hard cast without the knot to the main line becoming the weak link. The gradual diameter reduction spreads the tension along the whole leader, so the load gets absorbed well before it reaches the connection knot.

Each spool holds 10 units of 15 metres, double what you get with the compact version, so you’re not caught short halfway through a session.

Clear remains the go-to colour here, keeping the rig discreet in front of wary fish, and the material itself handles the knot beautifully, without losing flexibility on the thicker diameters. A solid pick for anyone who ties their own leaders and wants the exact diameter the tide or target species is calling for, always within reach.
